Outdoor Education

We developed our Outdoor Education program this fall with the goal of brining our students back together during distance learning in a safe and intentional way. The students engage daily in outdoor learning with an emphasis on STEM, exploration and nature connections. They are safely able to interact with their peers and continue to grow those ever-so important social-emotional skills.

Virtual After School & Master Classes

Our virtual programming is intentional, flexible and engaging for our students! Students participate in virtual sessions three times a day - Enrichment session, Academic session (homework help and tutoring) and Community & Movement Time. When enrolling in Virtual after school, students have access to all three daily sessions.

We are also offering donation based mini master classes with enrollment on a class by class basis. Some Mini Master class offerings so far have included Spanish, Space Explorers, Fundamentals of Drawing and much more!

Sherman Learning Hub

SUD has partnered with DCYF (SF Department of Children, Youth and Their Families) to open a Sherman Learning Hub. This is part of DCYFs Community Hub Initiative (CHI). Because of limited spacing, our Hub is currently at capacity, however we anticipate spots opening up in the future!
